The vital role of school leaders in education innovation
Egoitz is a Spanish teacher who sees school principals and leaders as essential to educational transformation. He believes that teachers act as change agents, and they need support to implement innovative classroom practices. Effective school leaders act as visionaries, he argues, cultivating a culture of innovation and creating safe, supportive environments for educators. Like lighthouses guiding ships, school leaders connect teachers, policymakers, and educational stakeholders to ensure that change aligns with the needs of students and educators.
